Welcome to the Cairo Downtown Hotel

Our hotel opened in May 2010. We have recently remodeled our hotel. We have a very old colonial building from the earlier British era the interior has very high ceilings, large rooms, and comfortable beds.
Our rates are very affordable so you can enjoy the Middle East even if you are traveling on a budget. We keep our hotel very clean and comfortable so our guests can relax after enjoying their time in Egypt.
We also offer affordable tours to all parts of Egypt and the surrounding countries. If you would like to take a tour, in case of an emergency, we will have you take a cell phone with you. If there are any problems we can assist you in English or Japanese. There are plenty of activities and sites to visit in Egypt.

Our hotel is located at the center of Cairo, of Tahrir Square which is the most famous downtown Square of Cairo.
The center of downtown is surrounded by the Egyptian National Museum, Mugamaa, and the American University.
Once you get to the museum turn your back and walk to the street on the middle between Talaat Harb and Mohammad Mahmoud.
This is called Bab El Looq Street, then the first street on the right hand, finally the first gate entrance on your left hand 4th floor there will be a sign reading (Welcome to the Cairo Down Town Hotel)
* We also offer Airport pick up and drop off for 60 Egyptian pounds.
* There is the subway station center on the red and green lines called Sadat which is actually Tahrir Square Station.
* Cairo Main Ramsees Train Station is about 5-10 minutes from Tahrir Square.
* There is also the Bus Stations that are only 5 to 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel, there is no need for transportation.
