Dar Soukaina is a traditional Riad,(a 3-courtyard mansion) lovely restored to keep all its quirky features, including tiny doors that could lead to Wonderland, and narrow winding staircases.
Beautifully whitewashed with lilac trim and green-tiled fountains, Dar Soukaina is a tranquil haven in a hectic city.
This cosy riad has been renovated with a light touch - no heavy styling here, just spare whitewashed walls, smooth tadelakt (polished plaster) floors and nubby-textured natural fabrics.
The lack of extraneous detail may seem extreme but it's actually smart, since the nine high-ceilinged rooms are quite narrow and clutter-free aesthetic makes them seem more spacious. Little details like the pointy Islamic arches also help to lift it above the ordinary.
A new extension across the street is a bit more spacious and sumptuously kitted out in handsome dark woods and plush fabrics. Omar keeps the house running like clockwork and usually appears at breakfast or in the evening to see how you're getting along - he's a mine of local information and speaks English and French,

Your booking will be secured by credit card thru the Moroccan international interbanking system with no charge. The card will not be debited. It would be in case of no show and for the price of the first night only. In case of cancellation, you will not be charged if we are told at least 15 days before arrival. Otherwise, the full amount of the first night of your stay will be charged.
Att ta sig till Dar Soukaina GuesthouseWe can organise a transfer from the airport, the train or the coach station if you need so. The charge is 15 Euros per transfer. We just need your flight, train or coach details and scheduled arrival time.

In Marrakech, get to the square of Riad Laarouss(by petit taxi or by your car), inside the walls of the medina. Once in front of the ?Pharmacie Populaire? the only pharmacy on the square, call us at the number below. It will not take us more than 4 minutes to come and meet you, and escort you to the guest house. |
