Dar el Khamlia is in a private traditional and authentic house and offers hospitality and serene home. It is a perfect place for the ones who do not want many tourists around. It is perfect also for them who want to be near the local people and learn about theirs life. The rooms are nice and clean with nice view over the desert and the village.
Coming to Erg Chebbi has been your dream! Your time is precious; you've worked hard to get here and we want you to take home happy memories of a relaxed, fulfilled and fruitful trip.
Dar el Khamlia is more than just a place to sleep. Your total satisfaction is our goal! We want you to not only have a relaxing, we want you to experience the best of Erg Chebbi. You get to experience life in a family community. The children play freely in the street and the adults sit chatting on there.
Your accommodation is a room with bathroom. Your bedroom is always private and you can have shared sitting room. When you have settled in we will have a chat over a cup of tea or coffee, we will tell you what there is to see and do in Erg Chebbi. We will listen to what you have already in mind to do and offer you advice on anything or any ideas you have. We will do our best to see you get what you want in the way of sightseeing and experiencing life.
We can organize tours, guides, transport if you wish. If you don't we will tell you how to get them outside and you will come back at the end of the day happy, satisfied and feeling 'in control'!

We will take care of you, help to discover, to explore the desert. Food here is good, tagines of course, cous-cous and other delicacy.
The standard price:
Half board - 20EUR / per person
Dinner - 8,5EUR
Lunch - 7,5EUR
We can arrange for you camel trek into sand dunes:
* to see sunrise / sunset
* overnight in oasis in sand dunes in nomad tent
Half or one day excursion by 4x4 to lake with flamingos, mineral mine, fossils, genuine market in Rissani and other.
You are welcome with other suggestions.
We speak English, French, and Spanish.

When you come to Merzouga or near Khamlia call us please and we bring you. We give you our phone number after you made your reservation. Print also our little map you find here for your help.
In case of late cancellation (less than 48 hours prior check in) the first night will be charged. In case of no show the full amount will be charged.
