tabi-tabi guesthouse is the first and only budget accommodation option in the upscale Kisami Ohama area.
We hope to provide you with a home at the beach with our fully stocked communal kitchen, free wifi and use of communal computer, complimentary coffee and teas, fresh towels and crisp linen, a cotton kimono for lounging about, free use of bicycles, travel advice and local area information, and some much more!
The Kisami Beaches can be reached on foot or by bicycle. The historical town of Shimoda is a 10 minute bus ride from the guesthouse. We are also withing walking distance to Paradise Cafe, South Cafe, an organic bakery, Macrobiotic buffet at By-the-sea, Cave Bar at By-the-sea, a Chinese restaurant, a ramen shop, Re-mix organic restaurant and homemade ice-cream, Coco-de-Mer restaurant, Marley Restaurant, Bronx Dining Bar and Billiards, Convenience Stores, and supermarkets.....

The is a taxi stand right out front of the station. The fare is approximately 1500 yen and takes about 10 minutes.

Bus Service from Shimoda Station
From Bus stop #3 and #4 there are between 2 to 5 buses an hour and takes about 10 minutes to Kisami.
Get off at KISAMI and follow the sign to Ohama.
You will see us on the right just past the Bronx Dining Bar (which is on the left side).
Bus #2 departs at 15:45 everyday bound for Ohama Kaigan.Get off at the beach and walk back towards the main road (with the ocean on your right). We are less than a 5 minute walk from the beach on the left hand side. |
