No, it's not one of the Mama Naxi in Lijiang. This is brand new, and is managed by a former employee of Mama Naxi in Lijiang. It opened in August,2010. It's beautiful, spotless, relaxed, friendly, a real gem. I am here right now and wanted to share. It's the most pleasant guesthouse I've been in all Yunnan.
lily is a very professional, friendly and helpful woman. There's always a smile of her face and she does everything she can to make you feel comfortable.She is a great source of information and can organize activities around Dali,Lijiang and Shangri-la, from the Erhai Lake trips to visit the minority villages. I am planning to stay here only for 2 days, but you could easily spend a week, here, and regenerate your energy. It's that type of a place.
Obviously, I'm not selling any service and lily is not currently holding a woman beside my head demanding me to write this thread. Look at my records and you can trust my opinion. I'm usually very critical of the places I stay, and seldom write anything good, but this time I have to make an exception. This place rocks.
If you are coming from Lijijang, she comes and picks you up at the gate of Dali Old Town for free.
Oh, I forgot. I spent Y40 per night, with my own room but shared bathroom. It was Y20 less than the Mama Naxi in Lijiang
So, find this heaven and spend a few days here. Now it's the right time to come. If you wait a few months, this place will lose its charm. Carpe Diem!-----A guest who stayed here before recommended on the lonely planet.

Coming from Lijiang when you get off the bus. Walk to the East Gate on the Ren Min Lu. Just before the FourseasonsNO.5 guesthouse (should be on your left) turn left. You should also see Hong Chen Bei Yuan Hotel written on the wall at the end of the street. Go there and than turn left. Walk until you reach the end and turn right. You will see Mama Naxi NO2. If you are coming from Kunming ,you need to take NO.8 bus form train station in Xia Guan (new DALI CITY )and get off east gate of DaLI old city .For free pick up from any bus stop in old dali town whether you are coming from Kumming or Lijiang,please contact us |
