Vandrarhem DengBa Hostel, Kang Ding, Kina
Kangding youth hostel, Dengba Hostel, located with in walking distance from the bus station in Kangding, is quickly becoming the hostel of choice for backpackers. Its convenient location along with a cozy atmosphere, and knowledgeable English speaking staff make it an ideal place to stay in Kangding.
While Kangding is still a few hundred kilometers away from the official tibetan border the feel of the area is distinctly Tibetan and staying at Dengba hostel you will not only be in a culturally Tibetan city, but also is an architecturally Tibetan building. The Dengba hostel has a Tibetan style and the interior is decorated with Tibetan artifacts as well.
One main reason that people come to Kangding is to get out in to the countryside and explore. The hostel staff at Dengba are well versed in both the conventional and unconventional trips into then countryside and are more than willing to help you with advice or plan an excursion for you. Of course they are also available for general help and to provide services one would expect from a youth hostel.
