We are located in city centre and walk 200m is Green Lake Park . We knew what backpackers need. You can expect high standards and welcoming atmosphere provided by our friendly, experienced English speaking staff.
We are conveniently located within walking distance of the city center and beautiful Green Lake Park (2 minutes), as well as other popular destinations (Yunnan University 10 min, Kunming Zoo 20 min, Yuantong Temple 20 min, Yunnan Provincial Museum 25 min, and the Bird and Flower Market 25 min). You will have easy access to public bus lines that can take you to the Golden Temple, the Ethnic Minority Village, the Western Hills, as well as to the train station and airport.

How to come to your hostel
* Airport (8KM, 25 RMB through taxi)
After exiting the airport take bus no. 67 to Bailong Lu (???). Cross the street and take bus no. 95 to Qingyun Jie (???). After exiting the bus walk forward 100 m and turn left at the first stoplight (Damei Yuanxiang, ????). Upland will be located immediately on your right-hand side.
* Train station (4KM, 15RMB through taxi)
By Bus: Take bus no. 2 from the Kunming Train Station (?????) to Wenmiao (??). After you exit the bus, you have two choices. You can walk about 600 meters (see map). Or walk towards the intersection of Zhengyi Lu (???) and Renmin Zhonglu (????). When you reach the intersection, turn left, where you will find Zhengyi LuKou (????) bus stop. From there, take bus no. 1 to Qingyun Jie (???). After exiting the bus walk back 100m and turn left at the first stoplight (Damei Yuanxiang, ????). The large wooden entrance on your right-hand side is the entrance to Upland.
* Bus stations:
There are five bus stations in Kunming, but two biggest stations are the South Station ( bus to border of Laos , Jinghong , Yuanyang ..)and the West Station(bus to Dli ,Lijiang...).
Kunming West Bus Station (?????????) (8 KM ,25 yuan through taxi)
Take bus no. 80 to XiHua Yuan (???, 10th stop). Transfer to bus no. 95 and get off at Qingyun Jie (???). After exiting the bus, turn back, walk back 100 m and turn left at the first stoplight (Damei Yuanxiang, ????). The large wooden entrance on your right-hand side is the entrance to Upland
PS.The buses of Kunming are all without conductors so that you`d better have 1yuan coins. You can only get on the bus at the front door and get off at the back door.

The latte, which is Sally?s specialty, comes highly recommended. In the evening you can experience the lively atmosphere of the downstairs bar area, where you can play pool or ping pong. We offer a wide selection of drinks, including twenty different kinds of beer from all over the world. If you are in the mood for a more quiet evening you can move upstairs. You can watch a DVD on our new 42? television, surf the internet on one of our computers (for free) or just relax on one of many comfortable couches. If you want to enjoy Kunming?s spring weather, there are tables in our charming outdoor courtyard.
We have a wide selection of clean and spacious rooms, each uniquely decorated. There are single, double, and twin rooms, as well as special Sunny Rooms. If you stay in one of the Sunny Rooms, you will have a king-size bed and a table and chair set next to a big window so you can enjoy the view. All private rooms come with a modern bathroom and TV. We also have beautiful 5- and 6-bed girls dorms, as well as 8-bed mixed dorms. All dorm rooms come with large lockers, personal reading lights and common tables with plenty of space for you to make yourself at home.

No. 185 bus chanage No.95. Total it takes around 1 hour and a half . (It is the fast way from South Bus Station)
Out off the bus station take No.185 and take off at the Gong Ren Xin CunI(????),then chanage No 95 in same bus stop ,and take off at Qin Yun Jie(???). After exiting the bus, turn back, walk back 100 m and turn left at the first stoplight (Damei Yuanxiang, ????). The large wooden entrance on your right-hand side is the entrance to Upland
