The Vietnamese Consulate is only open on business days from Monday to Friday. They are not open during public holidays. Visas start the day after you receive your visas from the consulate.

Buses to Hanoi from Landong Bus Station leaves at 7.40am, 8.30am & 10am (6-8 hours, costs about 150RMB).
Buses to Hanoi from the Nanning Train Station leaves at 7.20am & 7.40am (6-8 hours, costs about 150RMB).

Leaves at 5pm and overnight to Hanoi, costs depends on season (12-14 hours)

We are a small hostel in Nanning offering a pleasant homestay environment for our guests. Our rates are competitive when compared to other hotels in the area for what we offer including, private rooms with their own attached toilets and bathrooms, and dorms with bathrooms and toilets shared by only a few people instead of a crowd. Our rooms and bathrooms are cleaned everyday and we also provide free internet, free laundry, free drinking water, bed linens, and free towels.
***(Note: We are not a party hostel. Partying can be done in the bars just outside the gates of the hostel.)
We are located in Min Zhu Da Dao (Min Zhu Ave), behind Yang Guang 100 Apartments (Sunshine 100), a prominent landmark building in Nanning known by most taxi drivers and the local people.

We are located in one of the best addresses in Nanning, a private, secure and quiet gated community with a pleasant garden but still in the heart of Nanning city. Our hostel is conveniently located between the long-distance bus and train stations about 10-40 min by city bus (depending on traffic).
We are close to the Guangxi museum (10 min walk), Science museum (10 min walk), Nan Hu Park and Lake with a variety of teahouses and cafes (15 min walk), the food night market (5 min bus or 20 min walk), and the Vietnamese and Thai consulates (5 min bus or 20 min walk). Popular drinking and dance night spots, Soho, La Neste and other bars, are located conveniently across the road from the hostel for those who want to spend a late night out. Several coffee shops, tea houses, Chinese restaurants, and a German Beer Bar are also located in front or next to the hostel for a choice of both Chinese and Western food. Food from Chinese or Western style restaurants can be conveniently delivered to the hostel if you wish to eat in, or you can make your own food in the kitchen common room.

NANNING TRAIN STATION OR AIRPORT BUS STOP TO HOSTEL
- Take the No. 6 bus, the bus stop is directly in front of the train station (do not cross the road from train station), just go out the main front doors, down the station steps and there is a bus stop on the side of the road to your left
- If coming by airport bus, go out of the hotel alleyway, turn right and walk 300 metres and then cross the road to the train station. You can't miss the big building with a clock above it.
- The No.6 bus should drop you across the road from Yang Guang 100 (Yang Guang Yi Bai) on Min Zu Dadao (MinZu Ave), just after the Gucci and intersection
- Take the bus from Nanning Huo Che Zhan (Train Station) ??? (1st Stop) and get off at Min Zu Xing Hu Bei Yi Li ??????? (6th Stop). Costs about 1 RMB. (Note: sometimes bus drivers may miss a stop if it is too crowded or there is too much traffic)
- You may need to show the bus driver the Chinese characters of the bus stop you want to get off at.
- You can see the Yang Guang 100 building across from the No.6 bus stop (6th Stop) on Minzu Dadao (just look up)
- Yang Guang 100 (??100) on MinzuDadao has a sign on top of the building which you can see across the road from the bus stop you get off at. These apartments have the Munchen Beer Bar and orange columns/pillars in the front of the building.
- After you get off the bus, you need to walk across the road to Yang Guang 100.
- After you get to Yang Guang 100, face the front of the building (Munchen Beer Bar is in the front). Go right and walk around the corner of the building and straight up the driveway. Yang Guang 100 building should be on your left hand side as you walk up the driveway. Keep going straight ahead up the driveway until you see a small goods shop at the end, double iron gates and a security guard standing next to it.
- Enter the gates with the security guard, avoid the underground car park next to it.
- After entering the gate, walk straight ahead for 20 metres, turn right and walk 10 metres, then turn left up the ramp, and walk 30 metres until you find Building No. 12 which is before a building underpass.
- There should be a small typed sign for the hostel next to the entrance of Building No. 12.
- Enter Building No. 12 and take the lift to the 11th floor. The hostel is on the left. There is a sign.
- If lost, you can point to the Chinese characters on the map and a local person can help you.

LANDONG BUS STATION TO HOSTEL
- Take the No. 6 Bus from Landong Bus station to Yang Guang 100 ( ??100) on MinZu Dadao (it is essential you bring the map with you). The bus should stop one building down from the front of Yang Guang 100 (Yang Guang Yi Bai) apartments, these apartments have orange columns/pillars in the front of the building.
NOTE: ****Make sure you point to the Yang Guang 100 on MinZu Dadao since there are 3 other buildings in Nanning with the same name*****
- Take the No.6 bus from Landong Bus Station ??? (1st Stop) and get off at Min Zu Xing Hu Bei Yi Li ??????? (15th Stop). (Note: sometimes bus drivers may miss a stop if it is too crowded or there is too much traffic)
- The 15th bus stop is located one building down from the front of Yang Guang 100. Show the driver the Chinese characters to the bus stop you want to get off at. (Note: You cannot see the Yang Guang 100 sign (??100) on top of the building coming from Landong bus station, you can only see it coming from the train station).
- After you get off the bus, go left and walk to the next building down which should be Yang Guang 100. You can recognise that you are in the right building since it has Munchen Beer Bar in the front and the building has orange pillar/columns.
- After you get to Yang Guang 100, face the front of the building (Munchen Beer Bar is in the front). Turn right and walk around the corner of the building and straight up the driveway. Yang Guang 100 building should be on your left hand side as you walk up the driveway. Keep going straight ahead up the driveway until you see a small goods shop at the end, double iron gates and a security guard standing next to it.

TAXI DIRECTIONS
- Take the map and show the taxi directions on the map to the taxi driver. Point to the Chinese characters Yang Guang 100 (??100) on MinZu DaDao on the map to the taxi driver.
NOTE: ****The taxi driver has to understand that it is the Yang Guang 100 on MinZu Dadao (MinZu Ave) since there are 3 other buildings in Nanning with the same name*****
- If the driver is still lost, ask them to ring the Chinese phone number on the map. Mobile phone number can be found on the map we send to you or on the Internet. Taxi drivers usually have a mobile phone and are willing to ring someone to give them the correct directions to shorten the journey time.
- If you are coming late at night by taxi, please ring us at the hostel and we can meet you in front of the iron gates with the security guard at the front. You can borrow the taxi driver's phone and pay him 1-2 RMB extra for its use.
- Yang Guang 100 on MinZu DaDao is a landmark building in Nanning and most taxi drivers should know where it is. **** It is the non-local or new taxi drivers who may not know where it is.

- Point on the map to Ou Jing Ting Yuan to the taxi driver or local if you want to be driven up to the gates. They need to go up the driveway on the right hand side of the Yang Guang 100 building and stop at the gates with a security guard next to it.
