Zhouzhuang, known as the most famous water town, was conveniently located between Shanghai and Suzhou which enables easy traffic transportation from and to major tourist hubs in this region.
Perfectly located in the old town of Zhouzhuang, this hostel is built in an old courtyard with a history of over 150 years. Centered around the yard, twin and double ensuites as well as dormitories are designed to offer travelers wonderful lodging experience in an oriental ambience. The bar and cafe lounge creates a perfect setting for killing time with beverages and delicacies which serve both your taste and pocket.
The hostel is next to the famous Twin Bridge and the ancient opera stage. All staff members speak fluent English with a good knowledge of local tourist sites as well as sorts of travel information. Surrounded and dotted by lakes and rivers, the old town of Zhouzhuang covers an area of 3,600 hectares and boasts its impressive beauty in the waterways, canals and stone bridges. Different turnings bring different scenes to the tourists. With a history of over 9 centuries, the old town is reported to have 60 percent of its buildings here built during Ming and Qing Dynasties. It was developed to be open to the public in the late 1980s and was acknowledged as a UNESCO World Hertage site in 1998.
