Vandrarhem The Explorers Guesthouse and Hostel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
We are a brand new hostel opened in June 2010. Nestled right in the hub of the vibrant Kuala Lumpur city, we are only a stone's throw away from the famous tourist spots, the Chinatown and the cultural Central Market. Other places of interest such as Merdeka Square, Sri Mariamman Temple and Masjid Jamek are all within walking distance from our hostel.
Originally conceptualized by a few global backpackers, we truly understand what backpackers need. Every thought has been given to make your stay a very relaxing experience. We have gone into every detail in order to provide maximum comfort and convenience for our guests. Every room comes with individual controlled air-conditioner and power points. In order to ensure you have a good night sleep, we have chosen high quality full sized mattresses (King Koil for single / twin / bunk beds, Dreamland Postureguard for Queen beds) . We have even set up a rooftop terrace so that you can enjoy morning sun and evening breeze!
Plus, we're close to every amenity a backpacker could possibly need. The LRT station is a mere 5-minutes' walk away, buses, convenience stores, money changers, restaurants, pharmacies, ATMs, Starbucks Coffee, fast food outlets such as McDonald's, Nando's, KFC and many more are all within reach!

Please note that all our facilities are on shared basis as we are designed with backpackers and independent travellers in mind. To upkeep the environment of a backpackers hostel, we do have a policy of no children under the age of 12.

== Check In Policy ==
Check in time - 1500hrs
Check out time - 1200 Noon or a full rate will be applied.
If you arrive early, you may leave your luggage (FOC) with us but access to rooms will only be granted after 1500hrs.
Please note that all transactions are in CASH term only as we do not have facilities to handle payments in credit cards.
== Cancellation / No Show Policy ==
*Please inform us at least 48 hours in advance should you decide to cancel or make any changes to your booking,
*We will keep the room/bed for you for 3 hours from the stated time of arrival. After which, it will be released to other guests. If there is any delay in your itinerary, please let us know through phone or email to enable us to reserve the room for you.
*In case of cancellation or no show, booking fees paid to Hostelworld are non refundable.
==Deposit==
A deposit of RM30.00 is required upon check-in. We will refund it to you upon your check-out.

FROM KUALA LUMPUR INTERNATIONAL AIRPOT (KLIA):
?From KL International Airport (KLIA), take the Express Rail Link (ERL) to KL Sentral. The train journey will take about 30 minutes and costs RM 35.00 one way.
?Then take the Rapid KL Kelana Jaya Line LRT to Pasar Seni Station (one station away from KL Sentral).
?The walk from Pasar Seni Station to our hostel will take about 3 minutes. Walk towards the Central Market, turn right when you reach Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock (the road in front of Central Market), then walk along the road and turn left at Jalan Tun HS Lee junction (where a CIMB Bank branch and Lai Foong Restaurant are located). Our hostel is located just 50m from the junction.
FROM KUALA LUMPUR LOW COST CARRIER TERMINAL (LCCT)
?From Kuala Lumpur Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT), buy a Skybus (RM9 one way)/ Aerobus (RM8 one way) ticket at the arrival hall. The bus will take you to the KL Sentral in the city in approx. 1 hr 15 minutes.
?From KL Sentral, use LRT as described above.
FROM KLIA or LCCT using Airport Taxi:
?Give the taxi driver the address and tell him that our hostel is near KL Central Market and Bangkok Bank. Please ask the taxi driver to turn to Jalan Petaling (beside Kotaraya shopping complex). After that, turn left at Winsin Hotel and turn left again to Jalan Tun H S Lee at Bangkok Bank.
?The journey should take about 1 hr.
?Cost: Approximately RM80.00 - RM100.00. Please take note that between 12am ? 6am, there is a surcharge of 50%.
WALKING FROM PUDURAYA MAIN BUS STATION
?From the Puduraya main bus station, walk along Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock towards Chinatown/Kotaraya shopping complex.
?After passing Jalan Sultan and Jalan Petaling, turn right at Jalan Tun H.S Lee junction,
Our hostel is just 50m from the junction.
WALKING FROM MASJID JAMEK LRT STATION
From Rapid KL STAR Line LRT Masjid Jamek Station, walk along Jalan Tun Perak towards Puduraya/Bukit Bintang direction, turn right at Jalan Tun H.S Lee junction. Then walk along Jalan Tun H.S Lee until you see Bangkok Bank on your right. The hostel is about 50m from Bangkok Bank on the same street.
