Mountain Prince is the Premiere Lodge in Sarangkot. Ease back and meet the real Nepal. We are located in the typical Nepalese village of Sarangkot above the Northern edge of Pokhara Lakeside.

At 1592 meters Sarangkot is the highest point on the Pokhara Valley Rim and is an excellent step out of the city and into the Himalayan experience. (Click on the 'Directions' tab for advice on the trip up)

Mountain Prince is a relaxing, comfortable base for sampling traditional Nepalese culture, trekking or just chilling out.

Mountain Prince is a modern, purpose-build lodge. Spotless rooms with Western-style bathrooms either en-suite or shared. Linen and towels supplied. All-day café (meals extra), internet access and friendly staff.

Mountain Prince is one of Sarangkot's original and most comfortable lodges. It is located 70 meters towards the quiet end of the village. The Lodge has expansive southern valley sunset views and good Annapurna glimpses from communal areas and some rooms.

Sunny and fresh rooms. Wood fires when it is cool, healthy tasty Nepali and continental meals on request, Gas equipped kitchen, Organic kitchen garden, Large Roof Top deck and Balcony areas.

Mountain Prince is perfect for travellers who want to experience the Himalaya but with more comfort than a full blown wilderness trek experience, and in a shorter time frame.

This is the perfect place to kick back and relax, soak up the sun, see the sunrises and sunsets, take off for some of the world?s best paragliding, and take day treks through the local Himalayan community villages.

One to fourteen day treks can be arranged by Postaraj and his friendly staff as can independent & tandem paragliding flights. Ask us when you get here.

Getting to Mountain Prince in Sarangkot is easy and the views are well worth it. We suggest that you let us arrange our own taxi to pick you up from Pokhara and bring you directly simply and safely to Mountain Prince in Sarangkot.

Sarangkot is about 700 meters higher and 8 Km far than Pokhara. We can pick you up from anywhere you like. (Pokhara, airport, Bus Park or any Pokhara hotel)

TAXI FROM POKHARA AIRPORT / LAKESIDE/TOURIST BUS PARK
A 35-minute taxi ride (NRP 1000, US$15). Tell the driver ?Mountain Prince Lodge at Sarangkot Top.?

TAXI AND STAIRS FROM POKHARA AIRPORT / LAKESIDE / TORIST BUS PARK
A 20-minute taxi ride to the public staircase (NPR 500, $US 7) and then a 40-minute climb. Tell the driver ?VDC Office? then follow signs at stairway.

LOCAL BUS
45 minutes from the Pokhara (Baglung) new bus park on the edge of Pokhara city. Ask for the ?Sarangkot Top? stop (NPR 30, US 35c). The bus is often crowded, people travel on the bus roof.

TREK TO MOUNTAIN PRINCE WITH/WITHOUT BEARERS
Take the 2-hour walking trail from Pokhara Lakeside to Mountain Prince. Bearers to carry your luggage and guide you are available (NPR 700, $US 10) from the Wayfarers agency (opposite the Royal Palace main gate - Pokhara.)
