The Urban Age Hostel is located in one of the best locations in the city, Silom Street, which is the main central business district (CBD) in Bangkok. This includes the fabulous Patpong Market and local Bangrak Market, both within walking distance. From the airport:
From Suvarnabhumi airport. There are two options.
1. The cheapest and quickest way to get to Silom Soi 8 is by taking the Airport Rail Link train + skytrain. Operating time 0600 AM-2400 (mindnight). From the airport, look for the sign 'Train to city line' (take the 'blue' color train). Then get off at Phyathai station (duration 40 mins, cost THB 45/person/way). Next, walk to Phyathai Skytrain station--different train (walk around 2 mins) and get on the skyttrain from Phyathai in order to get off at Saladaeng station (duration 10 mins, cost THB 25/person/way) Once you get off the Skytrain, look for exit number 1. This exit will lead you to Silom road. Walk further pass Bangkok Christian Hospital and further on to Silom Soi 8. (walking distance 5 mins) There is Bank of Ayudhya(yellow bank) in front of Soi 8. When you arrive Silom Soi 8, walk into the Soi (small alley) for 20 meters or 30 seconds and turn right, we are just right there. Our hostel site is in 'green' color.
2. Taxi service 24 hours from the airport. Taxis are available on the second floor of the terminal as you exit the airport. Please ask the driver to turn ON the meter and come to Silom Soi 8. The cost should be around THB 250-300, and there is an express way fee of approximately THB 70 and a taxi registration fee of THB 50. If you are late arriving, the taxi driver may refuse to turn on the meter and ask for THB 400-500. An airport limousine is likely to cost around THB 800-900. Ask the driver to drop you off in front of Silom Soi 8. There is Bank of Ayudhya(yellow bank) in front of Soi 8. Then, walk into Soi 8 for 20 meters or 30 seconds and turn right and we are just right there. Our hostel site is in 'green' color.
From the sky train(BTS), get off at Saladaeng station. Once you get off the Skytrain, look for exit number 1. This exit will lead you to Silom road. Walk further pass Bangkok Christian Hospital and further on to Silom Soi 8. (walking distance 5 mins). When you arrive Silom Soi 8(there is Bank of Ayudhya/yellow bank in front), walk into the Soi (small alley) for 20 meters or 30 seconds and turn right, we are just right there. From the underground/subway (MRT), get off at Silom station, silom exit (exit number 2). Walk past the Dusit Thani hotel and follow Silom road. Walk until you see MacDonald's at CP Tower, cross the street to the other side and walk a bit further to Bangkok Christian hospital. Walk pass the hospital and further to Silom Soi 8 on your right hand side. (Walking distance from the MRT is 10-15 minutes) When you arrive at Silom Soi 8 (there is Bank of Ayudhya/yellow bank in front), walk into the Soi (small alley) for 20 meters or 30 seconds and turn right, we are just right there. From the Northern Bus Terminal (Mo Chit 2): Take bus no. 77 (THB 20/person/way) from the bus terminal and get off in front of Central Silom Complex Mall, or take either skytrain at Mochit station and get off at Saladaeng station. Once you get off the Skytrain, look for exit number 1. This exit will lead you to Silom road. Walk further pass Bangkok Christian Hospital and further on to Silom Soi 8. (walking distance 5 mins). When you arrive at Silom Soi 8, walk into the Soi (small alley) for 20 meters or 30 seconds and turn right, we are just right there. Our hostel site is in 'green' color.
From the Southern Bus Terminal (Sai Tai Mai): Take bus no. 507 (the bus cost around THB 20/person/way. Taxi meter should cost around THB 150-200/way). If you take the bus, get off at the Red Cross Society. Then walk forward until the big intersection (the second one) and turn right into Silom road. Walk along Silom road, passing many shops and Bangkok Christian hospital until you reach Silom Soi 8 (walking distance 10 mins) When you arrive at Silom Soi 8, walk into the Soi (small alley) for 20 meters or 30 seconds and turn right, we are just right there. From the Eastern Bus Terminal (Ekamai): Simply take the Skytrain and get off at Saladaeng station. Once you get off the Skytrain, look for exit number 1. This exit will lead you to Silom road. Walk further pass Bangkok Christian Hospital and further on to Silom Soi 8. (walking distance 5 mins). When you arrive at Silom Soi 8, walk into the Soi (small alley) for 20 meters or 30 seconds and turn right, we are just right there. Our hostel site is in 'green' color.
From the Hua Lump Pong Train Station: Take the underground train. Get off at Silom station, Silom exit (exit number 2). Walk past the Dusit Thani hotel and follow Silom road. Walk pass the hospital and further to Silom Soi 8 on your right hand side. When you arrive at Silom Soi 8, walk into the Soi (small alley) for 20 meters or 30 seconds and turn right, we are just right there. Our hostel site is in 'green' color.
