This place is gay-friendly and 15 minutes from Bangkok international airport (Suvannabhumi) with a few private & shared rooms. It is the same distance to the airport as to the city center (Victory Monument), but takes more time to travel inbound. It only provides beds and close distance to get to the airport. You can use the internet, microwave oven, washing machine and refridgerator for free. You can also leave your luggages there while traveling somewhere else without any charge. Long stay will get discount, ask Toom. Upon arrival, ask for their free house-made map and direction which is quite informative. Gay visitors can ask for detaited local information of their interest.

Att ta sig till 5 Rama Nine 54 Hostel VandrarhemFrom the airport by taxi - Print a map for taxi, first. When arriving Bangkok airport, walk off to meter-taxi area. (Do not use the limousine service inside the building, the price is killing). There will be a queuing officers to call a taxi for you. Show them and the driver the map. Once the taxi driving outward the airport, you're on the highway. After a 10-minute ride, keep looking for a sign 'Rama Nine road'. The taxi should get off the highway following the sign. Then keep looking on your left for Rama IX soi 54 to turn into. We are the first house on the left with yellow fence. Taxi fare including the airport surcharge of 50 Baht should not exceed 200 Baht.From the airport by bus - Take a shuttle bus from the airport to the bus terminal not far from the airport. Then take a bus no.551 at the terminal, riding for 14 Km. or 8 miles, looking for a street sign 'Rama-Nine Soi 54' on your left. But you should get off once you see Soi 60 and start walking for search of Soi 54. Turn into the Soi and the place is just the first house on the left. Print this page for direction assistance or show to the bus. The fare is around 40 Baht. From Hualumpong Train terminal - take a bus no.29 or 34 to Victory Monument and then bus no.551. Prepare to get off when you see Soi 41 of Rama-Nine Road (Thai calls it 'Praram 9 Rd.') on the left, or the Esso gas station. Then cross the main street to look for Soi 54. From any other places - find your way to Rama-nine road before reaching a motor way to the airport, use the map for taxi.
