The Hostel is in the centre of town, neighboured by an array of restaurants, bars and shops. You're welcome to pull your own Guinness in our pub with a little help if needed ! The pub is a lively spot at weekends, with music, craic (fun) and chat. The beer garden's a little sun trap - and a lovely spot for an evening drink.

Accommodation includes a large country style kitchen and diner with seating for 12, a comfortable, bright living room, a selection of bedrooms, all but one have ensuite bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped, with dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, and all necessary utensils. Total capacity is 24 persons. We are walking distance to local heritage sites, the nearby Abbey, Norman Castle and Heritage Centre are all 2 minutes walk.

Athenry is a town of immense character strategically positioned less than fifteen miles east of Galway city. With almost eighty percent of the original medieval walls, a restored Norman castle and a Dominican Priory, It's Ireland's best preserved medieval town. Seven hundred years of history sits happily with all the facilities of a modern town located within commuting distance of Irelands best loved city! There are eight rail services a day directly into Galway city (with as many direct connections to Dublin). It is a great base for golfers who want to play courses in counties Galway and Clare.

Comfortable, friendly little hostel with good quality accommodation. For guest comfort and security, check-in is available until 9.00pm. If you require a later check-in you need to make arrangements directly with the hostel.

If travelling to Athenry by Rail, walk out of the train station, turn left, pass the local Church and continue straight until you reach the AIB and Ulster Banks. Turn right, onto Cross Street, we're 100 metres down this road on the right. *Four minutes walk from the station.
If travelling by road. Take exit 17 off the M6, enter Athenry town, follow traffic signage directions (it's a one-way system), and you will pass the front door. On street parking is available on Cross Street. Off Street parking (cars or coaches) is available at the end of Cross Street.
