Malinbeg Hostel is the ideal location to explore all that South West Donegal has to offer, and a great base for outdoor enthusiasts and backpackers. Whether its mountain climbing, hill walking, scuba diving, snorkelling, fishing or just relaxing in this beautiful landscape.

The Hostel is ideally located in the picturesque village of Malinbeg with splendid views of the Atlantic Ocean and Rathlin O'Byrne Island

All tourist attractions are easily accessible. We are just a 3 minute walk to the Ougue harbour, ideal for scuba diving and snorkelling, and a 5 minute walk to the sandy Silver Strand beach. We are also a good base camp for those climbing Slieve League, and nearby, the Glencolmkille Folk Village museum and Heritage Centre founded by Fr. McDwyer to glimpse a view of traditional rural Ireland in the 18th, 19th and 20th century. Also in Glencolmkille are tombs of the megalithic period, and cross-inscribed stones of early Christianity.

CHECK-IN/OUT times:
Check-in time is 3PM - 8PM (15:00 - 20:00 hours)
Late arrivals should telephone in advance
Latest check-out time is 11AM (11:00 hours)

CANCELLATIONS:
Notice of cancellation must be given at a minimum of 24HRS prior to DAY of arrival

We reserve the right to refuse any bookings which we consider inappropriate for our Hostel.

Att ta sig till Malinbeg Hostel Vandrarhem

Travelling by car; from Dublin to Donegal, take either the N3 via Cavan or the N4 via Mullingar. From Donegal town take the N56 to Killybegs and then the R263, turning off to the left for Malinbeg before reaching Glencolmkille.

Travelling by bus from Dublin, there is one main bus service available. Bus Éireann takes you to Donegal Town, while connecting buses take you to Glencolmkille just 5 miles from Malinbeg.

The nearest airport is Donegal Airport at Carraig Fhinne in the North West of County Donegal some fifty miles from Malinbeg. It is served by flights from Scotland and Dublin.

Sligo airport, just a few miles outside County Donegal, is served by flights to and from Dublin.

Eglinton airport (Derry airport) is served by services from Glasgow, Manchester, Luton and London (Stansted).

The nearest international airports are based at Belfast, Knock and Dublin.
