Woodquay Hostel is ideally situated in the heart of Galway City , two minutes walk from Eyre Square and within five minutes walk to all the general amenities.
Recently refurbished this family run hostel offers very clean and comfortable hospitality to all our guests. In addition to our ensuite rooms, guests can avail of our spacious fully equipped kitchen, dining room and common room. An added advantage to our location is that we are situated behind Galway 's main thoroughfares thus ensuring a comfortable night sleep to all our guests.

The building is over 130 years old. It has recently been renovated but maintains its character. It is centrally heated and has over night security. Described as ?old fashioned and homely.?
Kitchen:
The kitchen is large, spacious and well equipped to accommodate groups of people.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms:
The bedrooms are clean and have new beds. Bathrooms are small but sufficient. Some rooms have en suites.
Common Room and Dining Room:
Fully equipped with books, tv, video, music and games. Wifi enabled on ground floor. The dining room has four large tables.

Walking from the station - go straight on up to the top of Eyre Square , veer right arriving at Eyre Square (through the street that divides Dunnes Stores and Dunnes Stores off-license). Continue down Eyre Street, take the next right, just before McSwiggans Bar and Restaurant, keeping to the right hand side you will find the hostel 200 meters straight ahead (passing the Harvest off-license on the way).
Alternatively:
Walk from station - go straight to the top of Eyre Square , veer left and then take a right turn down Eglington Street , keeping to the right hand side. Arriving at the corner at Eddie Rockets, take a right turn and follow straight through where you arrive at Woodquay - keep going on straight, we are located 200 meters ahead on the right hand side, directly across from the 'Stage Door' Bar. |
