Donmar Cottage is situated close to The Ceide Fields, Co Mayo, in the heart of the most spectacular scenery on the West Coast of Ireland.The village is situated about 12 km from the historic village of Killala.

The area is a walkers paradise and the cottage is situated on the Western Way walking route.For those interested in archaeology this area is home to the Ceide Fields, the worlds most extensive stone age monument.The majestic Dun Briste and the fantastic rock formations of the cliffs in the area are a real treat for those who are interested in geology.
The area is also ideal for fishing both sea and river, cycling. pony treking and deep sea diving.We,Donal and Janet, your hosts have a keen interest in Irish music and dance. In our own cottage adjacent to the property we frequently have music and dancing sessions and all our guests are welcome to attend.Any guest who wishes to join Donal on his fishing boat is welcome to do so at no extra cost, weather permitting.
Donmar cottage is a newly built centrally heated house.We have twin, double, triple and family rooms.Each of the bathrooms has bidet and power shower.The bright modern kitchen is well equipped. Relax in our cosy sitting room with turf fire and generous library.
The atmosphere in the house is warm and friendly. Your host Janet is a TEFL tutor and is happy to help and encourage conversational English.
Donmar Cottage has panoramic views of the sea and the surrounding countryside and is a few minutes walk to a quiet sandy beach. We are open April to end of October.

Monday to Saturday there is a connecting bus to Ballycastle.
If you arrive outsde this time we can arrange to meet you. Please call us to arrange this prior to your arrival.
Ryanair operate direct flights from several European cities to Knock (NOC) airport approx 1hour from Ballycastle.
Collection from the airport can be arranged.
