Vandrarhem Cairngorm Lodge Youth Hostel, Aviemore, Skottland

Cairngorm Lodge Youth Hostel is situated in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park, 7 miles from Aviemore and just 2 miles from the Cairngorm mountain railway and snowsports area. Our 3 star hostel is an old Scottish shooting lodge and offers warm, comfortable accommodation and stunning views of the Northern Cairngorms. It's an ideal base for all outdoor activities including hillwalking, climbing, snowsports, mountain biking, pony trekking, watersports and fishing. The Loch Morlich Watersports Centre and a large beach are opposite the hostel.

Check-in is between 5pm and 10.30pm and check-out by 10am.

The hostel is closed in the daytime between 10am - 5pm unless a member of staff is onsite.

By Bus: Local buses from Aviemore to Cairngorm (and Hostel). For timetable call 01479 811 211

By Train: Nearest rail station Aviemore (8 miles).

By Car: Take the B970 from south end of Aviemore signposted Colymbridge, Cairngorm. The hostel has a large car park.

On Foot: Take the walking track/old logging route from Aviemore. Walking from Aviemore will take you approx. 2.5 - 3 hrs.
