Habitat @ Ballater Bunkhouse lies in the heart of Ballater, in the majestic Cairngorm National Park on Royal Deeside. Just an hour from Aberdeen and surrounded by spectacular scenery, the scope of activities and the quality of life is matched only by the high standard of accommodation, rooms, service, and innovative facilities offered by Habitat @ Ballater Bunkhouse.
All our bedrooms have en suite facilities and wet rooms. We have 3 family rooms, 3 larger bunkrooms and a twin room. Our 4 bedded family rooms are furnished with a king sized double bed and a bunk bed. The hostel is fully accessible to wheelchair users. The hostel has underfloor heating throughout. There is a lovely common room with TV/DVD ,comfy sofas and woodburning stove. Free WiFi is availiable. Tea, coffee ,cooking and washing up essentials are all provided free of charge.The hostel has an excellent drying room and secure storage for cycles.
The hostel has a 24 hour security entry system so you can come and go when you wish.Cleanliness is our priority and the high standards of housekeeping are always praised by our guests.

Check in is between 2pm and 10pm. Check out is 11am.
Hostel is open all day but must be vacated between 11am and 1pm to allow for cleaning.
We accept credit and debit cards upon arrival.
Towels are not included but can be hired for £2 otherwise you can BYO.
The common room and kitchen are closed between midnight and 6am.
There is no parking at hostel but there is ample free parking nearby.

We are situated in a small private courtyard near the centre of Ballater.We are ideally located for visiting Balmoral Castle ,climbing Lochnagar and touring Royal Deeside.
