Set in the peaceful village of Strome Ferry, Stationmaster's Hostel offers a warm welcome to everyone. With only 20 beds, it is relaxed and friendly!
Please read the following carefully to make sure Stationmaster's Hostel is right place for you!
Located in a rural location, it is surrounded by natural beauty. There are woodland walks within walking distance and Stationmaster's Hostel overlooks Loch Carron where there are regular sightings of dolphins, otters and other wildlife.
Stationmaster's Hostel is an excellent base from which to explore the Isle of Skye, Glenelg, Torridon and the Applecross Peninsula. Eilean Donan Castle, wildlife boat trips and the picturesque village of Plockton are all within a 15 minute drive away.
As Strome Ferry is a small village, there are no shops or pubs within walking distance. The nearest shops can be found in Balmacara, Kyle of Lochalsh and Lochcarron (all about 10 miles away).There are excellent kitchen facilities so please remember to bring all your provisions with you! (Food, drink etc.)
Pubs and restaurants can be found in Plockton, 7 miles away. There are trains and taxi's connecting the two locations if you don't want to drive!

Check in from 1500 - 2000. If you are going to be outwith these times please phone.
Please vacate rooms by 1000.

Att ta sig till Stationmasters Hostel VandrarhemBy Car - Turn off the A890 at the sign for Strome Ferry (no ferry!). Stationmaster's Hostel is located at the bottom of the hill on the left hand side, just before the jetty.
By Train - Take the Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh line to Strome Ferry. On arrival, turn left out of the station and Stationmaster's Hostel is on the right hand side 30 metres along the road.
By Bus - Take the bus to Kyle of Lochalsh. You will then need to change to the train and follow instructions as above. |
