Hostal Girona was designed by Idelfons Cerdá in the 1860's at the hearth of the Eixample of Barcelona.
This building is located in a very priviledge area, as it is Girona Street, that belongs to the Quadrat d'Or. Its location is delimited by Aribau street and Paseo de Gracia in one side and Las Rondas and Avenida Diagonal on the other. Its recognition as a bourgeois neighbourhood coincided with the appearing of Barcelona's modernism.
There are three spaces, two of which have been refurbished and rooms made ensuite; it is worth spending an extra few euros on these .
Hostal Girona combines the spirit of this age with the facilities of a small and modern hotel which ambient denotes familiarity and comfort.

From Airport Girona:
You can take a bus from Girona Airport to Estació del Nord ( Barcelona), there around 1:15 h
From Estació del Nord:
underground - line 4 (yellow color) - get off in Passeig de Gràcia stop
from Estación del Norte bus station (this is aproximately at 500 metres from the hotel)
underground - line 1 (red color) - get off in the Urquinaona stop
From Paça Catalunya:
There are 10 minutes walking, you turn right 4 streets and after you turn left 2 streets.
From Airport Barcelona:
It is about 25 minutes by taxi, the price is around 25 euros.
Also You can take the bus or train from Airport to Plaça Catalunya, we are in 10 minutes walking from there. |
