A beautiful cozy non commercial hideaway in Granada, perfect for people on a budget. With a breeze from the valley and above the city we have a cool temperature in the hot summer months and our own private mirador view of the Alhambra. its only 15 minutes away by foot. A log fire and warm nights for the winter
We´ll take you to the snow to ski, to the alpujarras for a winter walk and the country for nature hikes and free city tours. We´ve lived here for years and we know the best tapas bars and places to go. We have a massive terrace, a free 300 book library, instruments free bikes to use and free wifi internet. We dont add any extras here, youll see why we are still here after 8 years.
We´ve achieved cult status for backpackers in the know. many just rock up at the door. Research us and drop by for a bevie on our terrace; Everyones welcome, under the stars or in a bed we´ll always find a place for you.

Att ta sig till Rambutan Guesthouse GuesthouseWe are located in the barrio Sacromonte, the charming old area, overlooking the Alhambra and the city center. (15 mins on foot from Plaza Nueva, 5 mins on the bus).
Check in to the appartments are at 9h in the mornings to 00h30 at night. Please let us know if you think you'll arrive earlier or later, gracias!!
For the directions, some people get lost so here are some indications:
!!!!If you're coming by car, please let us know: it's a bit difficult to access here with a car, you'll need precise indications that we can send you to make everything easier!
Groups from the bus station:
Take bus 3 or 33 at the bus station and stop at the cathedral.
Then cross the street and walk to the end of Gran Via (in front of you you'll see a big statue with a fountain), then turn left and keep walking straight (calle Reyes Catolicos) until you reach Plaza Nueva.
In Plaza Nueva take bus 31 or 35, the bus stop is on the right of the plaza (the buses are small and red, and look like ambulances).
The bus drives along the river (Paseo de los Tristes) and then turns left up a steep hill (Cuesta del Chapiz), stop at the top of the Cuesta, just before the traffic lights.
Then take the first street on your right (Camino de Sacromonte). Walk along the Camino until you see the first steps on your left (there is a sign 'Apartamentos Montes Claros' on the wall), climb these steps
At the top of the steps, take the first right , keep walking straight and turn left.
Climb (last time) the stairs between the cactus garden and the white tower.
Then take the first left at the corner of the cactus garden. (if you find yourself at a green fountain you've gone too far, so head back down the steps)
The Rambutan is the second house on your right.
From the airport:
At the airport take the bus going to the city (it' s 3 euros) and get off at the cathedral.(Gran Via)
Then follow the directions above.
From the train station:
Take bus 3 or 33 , get off at the cathedral (Gran Via)
Then follow the directions above.
