Fata Morgana is a fine budget hotel/hostel offering the best roomrates available in Las Terrenas.The hotel lies midway between the touristbeaches of Las Terrenas and the more peaceful Playa Bonita and Coson.Playa Bonita and Playa Coson are considered by many to be the best beaches in the Dominican Republic,presently largely undeveloped.
Our hotel resides away from the busy streets in a large garden.At present there are 6 large rooms.The rooms are simple but spacious.They all comprise a large sleeping area,an ensuite bathroom,fan and screened windows to save you from mosquitos while you sleep.Each room also has its own veranda with rocking chairs and hammock.
We have a communal kitchen ,bbq and plaesant outdoor dining area for our guests at any time
There is a book exchange in many different languages.
The owner is a tour guide by proffession,speaks 5 different languages and always available to answer questions or organise tours if required during your stay.
Finally no write up of Fata Morgana would be complete without the mention of the small menagerie here.Two cats ,two dogs a donkey and some chickens,will relish any opportunity to make our resident feel at home.
To make life even more comfortable,if you bring your laptop you can connect 24 hours for a small charge.

Övrig information om detta HotellThere is a kitchen and a bbq area for all to use,also in the kitchen there is a fridge a stove and a coffee machine, and drinkingwater.You can use the kitchen at all hours.There are facilities to wash clothes.
Every terrace has a hammock and a few rockingchairs if you prefer.
Plenty of room for kids to run around.
Att ta sig till Fata Morgana HotellComing from Puerto Plata you can take a taxi (180 Dollars),we can send you one,or spend a night in Cabarete or Sosua and take the bus the next day,6.30 in the morning to Sanchez.The bus is called el Papagayo. In Sanchez you can take the local bus to Las Terrenas (50 pesos)Get out at the corner for the road Playa Bonita..From there you can walk 10 minutes direction Playa Bonita(look for the signs Fata Morgana),
or take a motor taxi for 20 pesos to Fairways in La Ceiba,and there you are.
Coming from St Domingo you can take taxi ( 200 Dollars),fly over,or spend the night in St Domingo and go bus.There is 5 busses a day going to Samana,called Caribe tours.Get out in Sanchez.See Above.Also there are about 5 busses a day with Transport Samana directly to Las Terrenas.Do not fly Puncta Cana.if you can help it. Is Too far and too expensive. |
