Jurassic Park is a magical place situated on a small hill, in a tranquil valley, 3-5 minutes outside of the main town Las Terrenas. Six spacious, clean private bungalows, to rent, set amongst an abundance of natural beauty. A short stroll behind the Hotel there are two waterfalls with pools - which are extremely inviting, especially when its hot - great for cooling off and helping to make you feel at peace with the world.
This is a hotel with a difference: in respect that we have semi controlled jungle areas which we continue to improve and make part of the attraction of being here. There is very little light pollution (no upward facing lights) so you can view the night sky, from our open pool terrace, which are mostly spectacular all year round. If you are a star gazer, a writer or a poet you would feel very much at home here. Our aim, for the near future, is to direct the Hotel towards self sufficiency and Eco tourism. We already have pure spring water and will be looking to add solar panels and wind mills. If you have children then this is a natural wonderland providing constant amazement. Indeed, daily visits from the local children, who are a breath of fresh air, will aid your children in understanding this environment. To top it off we have a trampoline which is very popular with children and uncontrollably happy adults alike. We also grow many fruits and vegetables. We are a small family run hotel and we hope to have created a much more personal and friendly feeling. We have a great track record of content, repeat customers. It seems that a return visit is a must; once you have been bitten by the magic and unadulterated beauty of our little oasis.

Att ta sig till Jurassic Park Hotel HotellWe are situated 5 mins outside Las Terrenas, the area is called Hoyo Cacao - it is the 1st suburb of Las Terrenas that you have to pass through on the way to LT town.
Coming over the winding mountain road from Sanchez (this part takes about 20 mins) - you will know when you have reached Hoyo Cacao when you get to the bottom of a steep hill and the last sharp left bend in the road, then the houses start and the road continues straight. From this last bend, about 100 mtrs there is a right hand turn into a smaller road (almost opposite a blue colmado shop). Here you will see our sign, for Jurassic Park Hotel, up high on the main road.
So, basically, you can stop at the beginning of Hoyo Cacao. You won't need to go right into LT and then out again.
From this point, the hotel is about 200 mtrs along this smaller road. It is about a 5 min walk along this road, which goes up and then down, then across a very shallow river
and then you will see the big gates of Jurassic Park on the right hand side. If it is raining, you may call us and we can always collect you from the main road, no problems. |
