The Turtle Lodge is a unique Solar Powered hostel located on a beautiful deserted beach in Isla Los Brasiles, 20 minutes away from the city of Leon, Nicaragua. The Lodge provides activities for everyone. Rent a surfboard, take lessons and be riding the waves surfing in no time. Relax on a hammock and enjoy the sounds of the waves or do yoga by the shore. Visit our restaurant and taste delicious, freshly prepared food, or sit by the bar and enjoy a sunset drink.

Att ta sig till Surfing Turtle Lodge VandrarhemAddress:
2 kilometers north from the tip of Los Brasiles Island, Poneloya, Nicaragua.
From Managua:
Take a taxi to the UCA (Univercity of Central America) bus terminal. From there, hop on one of the minibuses that go to Leon. These buses depart every 30 minutes or once full.
From Leon:
Once in Leon, take a taxi to ?El Mercadito? in Sutiaba. From there, hop on a Bus and head to Poneloya. All of the buses in ?El Mercadito? go to Poneloya, so don?t worry about getting on the wrong bus. They depart every hour at 45 minutes past the hour. The last bus leaves Leon at 6pm.
Once in Poneloya:
Get off at the end of the road in Poneloya. You?ll know where that is because the road comes to an end at a river and turns around to go to Las Penitas, another beach town nearby.
There, you?ll see a big Surfing Turtle Lodge sign. You can ask someone here to point you in the right direction. You need to go up the hill to the ranchos. At the end of the line of ranchos is a boat ramp where you can for the surfing turtle boat. Our staff or a local fishermen will offer to take you across the river (a 5 minute boat ride) to Los Brasiles Island. Follow the signs to our beach front lodge. Once on the island it is a 15 minute walk to the hotel. If you have lots of luggage and are able to call us before arriving on 8640 0644, we can send a horse carriage to come pick you up where the boat drops you off.
