Melbourne Metro YHA backpackers' hostel is on the fringe of the city, with panoramic views of Melbourne. Located in a residential street, our hostel is far enough out of the city that you can look forward to a quiet night?s sleep, but close enough that you can still walk to the main attractions including Queen Victoria Market, Melbourne Zoo, Federation Square and ACMI, plus all the unique laneways, bars and cafés. There?s a tram at the end of the street, too.
Our hostel provides both male and female dorms for groups of either four or eight people. Shared bathrooms are provided. There is a variety of rooms to choose from: multi-share, double/twin (with the option for en suite), family, and one special self-contained apartment. All linen is included.
We offer excellent facilities including a laundrette, new bicycles for hire, showers and luxurious deep baths in shared bathrooms. We also have a travel desk where the staff are happy to help arrange any tours you may wish to go on. We can also advise you on the best places to see and things to do in Melbourne. Other extras include complimentary passes to Melbourne City Baths swimming pool (one per stay), secure car parking (subject to availability - $5 per day), a pool table, a library of movies and satellite TV.
There is an internet lounge available so that you will never feel out of touch with family and friends from home. The fully equipped guest self-catering kitchen can be used to cook a meal and catch up with new friends and swap stories with your fellow travellers. Enjoy a BBQ on the rooftop lounge and get to know your fellow travellers while taking in the views. Our fully-licensed café is also open where you can relax during the day and have a coffee while planning your night out in the area.

From Southern Cross (Spencer Street) Station go 400 meters East along Bourke Street to William Street and catch tram 55 heading North, get off at stop 9, walk 200 meters West on Queensberry Street, turn right into Howard Street.
