Our homely little hostel has a relaxed, fun atmosphere where people are warm and friendly. We welcome guests who have just arrived in Australia and are looking for work ? in fact, we offer free work assistance!
We?ve got free Wi-Fi, free local calls and free calls to Australian mobiles, making it easier for you to look for work or plan the next leg of your journey! There?s also free parking, free breakfast, free tea and coffee all day and night, free DVD library, free late check-out and ? best of all ? free BBQ on Sundays!!
Our hostel is in the lovely Sydney suburb of Balmain, only 10 minutes by bus from the city centre.
We?ve got some of the lowest rates in Sydney!

Reception is open 10am to 5pm, 7 days a week. Check-out: 11am. Check-in: 2pm. We?re happy to arrange check-in outside of office hours, but only by appointment. Please email us to let us know if you?ll be arriving outside of these times. We have a minimum 3 nights? stay. Hostel is non-smoking but you?re welcome to smoke on the balcony. People under 18 not permitted. No Australians in the shared rooms. Current photo ID required upon check-in. There is no guarantee that booking will be kept together in busy times.
EVICTION POLICY
We want you to have fun but we?ll evict you without notice or refund if you misbehave or are loud and behaving in an inappropriate manner.
Att ta sig till Balmain Backpackers VandrarhemDon?t take a 400 bus ? they take too long!
We?re only six minutes by bus from Town Hall Station. Catch any of the many buses (500-550) from Druitt St cross street George. The best bus stop is located on Druitt Street (next to the Town Hall Bldg) which runs down toward Darling Harbour between the Town Hall and the QVB building. Ask the driver to stop at Darling Street. We are near the corner of Victoria Road approximately 100 metres from the bus stop. Look for number 677 Darling St and press the doorbell next to the red door!
From the airport catch a private shuttle to the Sydney Town Hall and catch the buses in Druitt St (cnr Kent St) or take a taxi from the airport ($30-40 depending on traffic).
